will update this post if I get a resolution. still access denied when installing the w2207 driver. did as requested but unfortunately it didn't solve my problem. Got the following response from HP support today. If I recall even with UAC turned off, I get Access Denied. If I uninstall and even remove the the monitor from the Device Configuration Manager, It'll probably go back again to the Other devices, and I can't again install it until I either re-install VISTA on top of it, or re-install cleanly (pain.)
